The 10 Lenses

Introduction to the 10 Lenses Framework

The 10 Lenses framework emerged from over a decade of research into how individuals and societies perceive and engage with the world. Its development was significantly influenced by my collaboration with Donald O. Clifton, the former CEO of Gallup, who oversaw the quantitative validation of the lenses. Widely recognized as the Father of StrengthsFinder, Don’s work revolutionized psychological research by shifting toward a strengths-based approach.

Grounded in empirical rigor, the framework integrates psychological and sociological theories to provide a practical, research-backed tool for understanding diverse worldviews. The validation process engaged a broad participant pool, confirming the universal applicability of the lenses across cultural contexts.

The 10 Lenses are not about categorizing individuals or placing them into rigid labels. Instead, they serve as a powerful tool to recognize and understand the perspectives that shape our interactions, decisions, and the larger forces influencing our social, cultural, and political landscapes.
